The Topical Content Producer is responsible for capturing and illustrating our brand essence, by creating radio imaging pieces, radio promos, and short-form audio (and possibly) video content for distribution via Web, social media, text and email databases, and other direct-to-user channels.  This position will work closely with the Director of Programming, Program Director, the User Engagement Specialist(s), and other key management to clearly understand and articulate our brand message and our target user.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in radio imaging but must also be able to grow our brand messaging beyond the radio.


  • Work closely with the program director to create and maintain a Topical Marketing Plan, updated monthly at a minimum.
  • Work daily with program director and members of the content team to stay atop the most important topical stories and best examples of station content to illustrate the brand.
  • Work daily with the Audience Engagement Specialist to position the brand around the biggest stories of the day by formatting content for distribution across our various channels.
  • Work daily on ideation, and production of radio imaging and adaptation of station content for digital distribution
  • Serve as the point of contact for content marketing production, imaging, sales integrations, and custom content extensions
  • Schedule promos to run at appropriate times for an appropriate length of time
  • Stay up to date with emerging platforms/products to ensure that Bonneville Seattle leads the market in innovative campaigns
  • Be available to pitch in as needed for special events coverage, fan events, content centric media partnerships, sponsorship initiatives, and more
  • Place Bonneville Seattle shows and promotional material in front of increasingly larger online audiences
  • Grow brand loyalty and user engagement


  • Able to edit and produce audio
  • Possess excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize, analyze and interpret statistical data and draw conclusions from finding and follow-through.
  • Ability to work with moderate supervision, confidential information and be a self-starter.
  • Capable and willing to resolve unexpected problems and be flexible to perform unscheduled assignments.
  • A high level of proficiency with computers, software and new technologies; particularly Adobe Audition and/or Pro Tools
  • Proficient creative writing and copy writing skills


  • Video editing/production knowledge and experience
  • Min 1 year of experience using AudioVault content storage and playback systems
  • Proficient with Final Cut Pro
  • 2 (Two)+ years' experience in audio production/creative imaging role
  • Graphic design experience
